To improve the comprehensive management of chronic diseases, the public welfare project "NCD diagnosis and treatment training course" launched in Beijing

On March 30th 2018, with the support of Gerontological Society of China, Chinese Geriatrics Society and Fosun Foundation, a public welfare project "NCD diagnosis and treatment training course" co-organized by Wanbang Biopharma was officially launched in Beijing. The project was jointly initiated by Professor Hu Dayi from Peking University People's Hospital and Professor Guo Lixin from Beijing Hospital, together with dozens of well-known experts nationwide in cardiovascular and endocrine fields, aiming to further improve the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment capabilities of medical staff in county hospitals according to the characteristics of the need for comprehensive prevention and treatment of chronic diseases.



At the launching ceremony, Li Shengli, vice president of Fosun Pharma and co-CEO of Wanbang Biopharma introduced that the first step of the project covers the basic knowledge of "Four High Diseases": hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia and hypeluricemia, the new progress of treatment programs, the interpretation of guidelines and clinical application of professional training.




The project is planned to carry out full time training for senior doctors at the county level in 10 cities first and carry out in 200 hospitals nationwide gradually. It is expected to cover about 400 counties and nearly 6000 primary doctors. Covering the entire country to improve the level of county hospitals for slow disease diagnosis and treatment constantly and to promote chronic diseases prevention and control in China. In the future, more county hospitals will be covered to improve the level of county doctors by continuous efforts.
